    Job description:

Are you a Cost Estimator with a desire to work on sophisticated, perennial and high-volume defence programmes? Do you want to make a difference in an organisation that protects and supports the UK Armed Forces, bringing real meaning and impact to everything you do in your role? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you

As part of the Cost Management Group (CMG), you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering valuable projects and services on budget, on time and aligned with organisational vision.

You will be provided with an excellent opportunity to develop your core skills and leadership whilst delivering successful outcomes and working on one-of-a-kind projects.

Throughout the start of your career within the CMG, you will learn and develop to become a vital member of the team, as well as leading a small team to provide robust support within a complex project and portfolio environment.

Want to hear what one of our current Estimators thinks about their experience within the team?

"I joined the Cost Management Group in June 2023. I must admit that taking on a new challenge in a new organisation made me doubt if I had made the right choice, but since my first day I have never looked back."

In the SDA, continuous professional development is actively encouraged.

You will have access to a defined development pathway including professional accreditation from ICEAA, ACostE and APM and ongoing support to prosper.

You will integrate with accomplished, multi-disciplinary teams and migrate across several projects in the portfolio, gaining full exposure to the organisation and operating at the core of what we do.

You will collaborate to solve challenges unique to our industry and, by linking with fellow minds and allies across the world, will provide a significant contribution to the success of our projects.

The SDA operate a hybrid working environment and the expectation is that you will attend the site around one to two days a week, according to business need/team.

Initially, you will be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and the position you will be working on in more detail.

When attending site, your primary place of work will be MOD Manchester, offering tangible exposure and visibility to the progress our projects and an excellent work/life balance.

Please be advised that due to the nature of security, these roles are reserved for sole UK Nationals only.
