About the position:


  • Permanent fulltime position
  • Monday to Friday with the possibility of occasional weekends
  • Rate of pay based on experience and qualifications from £32,000
As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Utility Supervisor to join our team.

The successful applicant will contribute to the growth and success of our company and be an integral part of our team.

As our Utility Supervisor you will play a vital role in overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure projects related to multi-utility networks.

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing teams, ensuring the timely completion of projects, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to health and safety regulations.


Job requirements:


  • Supervise and managing a range of civil projects with back office support
  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution
  • Daytoday management of gangs ensuring the efficient completion of projects
  • Drive productivity and quality onsite, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks
  • Identify issues and implement corrective actions as necessary with commercial awareness
  • Liaise with and give updates to colleagues, project managers, engineers, and technicians collaborating to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Communicate with external contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and permissions for project activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including project reports, records and relevant paperwork

Skills and qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in multiutility disciplines
  • Experience as a Civil Supervisor or similar role
  • Practical knowledge of civil construction techniques, methodologies, and materials used in multiutility infrastructure projects
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management and documentation
  • A full UK driving licence is required
  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS qualification SMSTS is desirable
  • NRSWA Streetworks Operative minimum Supervisor desirable
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to organise and motivate others
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative approach to working with all stakeholders
  • Proactive problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Ability to maintain and keep accurate documentation including project reports and incident reports
