We are a niche supplier of complex aero-engine ring components and assemblies including seals, shrouds, segments and casings. Products are manufactured from high nickel content "super alloys" and other materials such as titanium, stainless steel, and aluminium.


We supply a diverse portfolio of products to our customers for all sections of the engine, from the fan, through the compressor and combustor to the turbine and exhaust.

Programmes include most of today's civil and military engine programmes including Airbus A350's Trent XWB, Trent 1000 for Boeing 787 Dreamliner, both Trent 900 and GP7000 for the Airbus A380, Eurofighters EJ2000, TP4000 for Airbus A400M and JSF lift Engine.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, operating and maintaining our CNC machines to provide high-quality parts and components.


Rate of Pay:
£15.43 per hour, overtime payable after 36 hours, plus a shift allowance of £80.48 per week on RDS.

This role will initially start on a day shift 36 hours per week during an initial period of training.

Following this you will be on rotating day shift (RDS), 36 hours per week - 2 weeks Mon - Wed 7:00am - 7:30pm followed by 2 weeks Wed - Fri 7:00am - 7:30pm.


Brief outline of responsibilities include:


  • Setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Operating manual machining centres if applicable.
  • Maintaining an exemplary level of housekeeping.
  • Keeping waste to a minimum.
  • Reading/understanding and correctly interpreting Engineering Drawings.
  • Changing tool inserts and resetting/altering offsets to achieve drawing specifications and tolerances.
  • Having high levels of concentration and focus to achieve production targets and scheduled customer deadlines.
  • Following written works instructions, safe working practices and always maintaining a safe and tidy work area.
  • Monitoring your own quality and productivity with continuous improvement mind set.
  • Helping and being proactive for the continual improvement of processes.

Essential Competencies:


  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Knowledge of setting CNC machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
