My client are an internationally renowned manufacturer of complex parts for a variety of sectors and industries.With sites across Europe, and a large production facility based in Cambridge, they are ideally placed to continue their growth through investment in both facilities and R&D over the coming year.
Investment in the UK business means a move to a new facility andthe expansion of its manufacturing team to help capacity going forward, a move which will enable the business to further establish itself as a market leader and an employer of choice in the area.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for multiple Assembly Technicians to work in their complex manufacturing area, based on site in Cambridge.
Working on either an early or late shift, you will be part of an highly skilled existing team and will be trained in the operation of several bespoke production machines used to assemble high value and high precision components.
Your day to day responsibilities include:
- Use of a variety of production machinery to produce components ready for sub assembly
- Assembling components to strict SOP's and in line with company and customer specifications
- Use hand tools and measuring equipment to check product quality and dimensions, ensuring products meet specifications
- Completing reports and paperwork relating to machine performance and output
- Contributing to overall shift efficiencies and helping to monitor wastage and failures

Patterns of work are based on a two shift system, with the late shift earning a 20% uplift on the hourly rate.
