Student Facility Management are a growing student accommodation provider, operating purpose-built student accommodation schemes nationally both privately and in conjunction with Universities.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative for our prestigious, purpose-built student accommodation scheme to be located primarily in Sheffield to carry out day to day maintenance.

The role of Maintenance Operative requires a flexible approach to deliver the highest standards of service, which may involve occasional weekend working and some out of hours cover.

• General buildings repair and maintenance, producing schedules of work where required
• Working with Suppliers, obtaining best quotes and reporting to Accommodation Manager
• Buildings, equipment health & safety checks
• Stock management
• General administration duties
• Providing a high standard of customer services at all times
• Maintaining health and safety standards in line with legislation

• Relevant experience as a handyperson and the use of a range of tools
• General understanding of health & safety
• Ability to prioritise effectively
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to represent the business in a professional manner
• Ability to work outside normal working hours
• Able to cover at short notice

• Onsite parking
