We are looking for a kitchen assistant to work in our new, thriving and growing Coffee Lounge here at John Doe.

We produce a simple, high quality menu that we would like you to assist in delivering to a consistently high standard.

The majority of your time will be spent preparing and assisting with brunch and light lunches, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene.

Like any role at John Doe, this role is centred around creating a happy and pleasurable experience for all our customers through your food.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:


  • Assisting in delivering a high quality café style menu consistently
  • Carrying out general kitchen duties
  • Ensure that all food is stored in accordance with agreed standards
  • Ensure that all equipment used is well maintained and in good working order
  • Ensuring quality of all dishes
  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe kitchen
  • Ensure that you are meeting all health & safety standards within the kitchen at all times

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Be capable of moving into a customer facing, front of house role (if required)
  • Previous, relevant experience is preferred
  • A passion for catering
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • A team player

DETAILS:


  • Level 2 food hygiene is required
  • Successful applicant must be available to work weekends
  • Salary will be based on experience and credentials

WORKING HOURS:

Hours to be arranged but will include weekends (flexibility required)
