The Midland Metropolitan University hospital is our new hospital currently under construction in Smethwick which stands proudly between Sandwell and West Birmingham (SWB)

Once open in 2024 in will be a significant acute hospital within Birmingham and the black country.

Bringing together specialties from all areas of SWB, it will provide a hub for emergency care, acute medical wards, maternity, general and specialist surgery.


An exciting opportunity has arisen at SWBH NHS Trust for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Imaging Support Worker to join our dynamic and dedicated team in the Imaging Group.


We provide Imaging services across a 7 day service at City Hospital in Birmingham, Sandwell General Hospital in West Bromwich and Rowley Regis Community Hospital in Rowley Regis.

Winson Green Prison, where we have a DR X-ray facility supporting the prison's needs.


The post will provide you with opportunities to excel in supporting a wide range of disciplines across the Imaging Group including General Radiography, Accident and Emergency work, Ultrasound, Cross-sectional Imaging and Fluoroscopy.

We actively encourage role extension together with both personal and professional development. As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to hold a cannulation qualification or willing to work towards.
