Elwood Recruitment are seeking a Quality Inspector for our prestigous client in Brownhills, Walsall.

DESCRIPTION:

We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical quality inspector to join a precision engineering group which operates fabrication, CNC & Manual Machining workshops.

As the quality inspector, you will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Read engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
Resolve qualityrelated issues in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Analytical and problemsolving skills. Attention to detail. Technical skills and ability to understand engineering drawings, documents and manuals.
Experience in QMS and able to create and document procedures and internal audit. (ISIR's & Calibration records for example, all to ISO 9001 standard)
Competent using CAM2 and Faro arm.
Experience in inspection of parts made through CNC machining, Fabrication and tube bending.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
