The Merchandising team play a key role in how we trade our product. As a team, they ensure that we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time.They work side by side with our Buying team, managing the departments product buys through the supply chain from Supplier, the distribution network and into our stores for our customers.
Helping to trade the department is the exciting part of the role, they monitor the market and sales trends and analyse sales performance and stock levels whilst always making sure that our product critical path remains on track.
The goal of Commercial is to drive sales and profit for Dunelm through sourcing the best quality products, at the best prices, from sustainable and ethical sources.
You will support my Merchandiser in the end to end range build and ongoing trading of our department. You will be extremely organised, have a high attention for detail and a passion for product.
What the role requires of you: (We will provide all necessary training for the role)**- Critical Path Management. You will be responsible for critical path planning for your department for all new range launches, marketing and promotional activity. Ensuring correct dates are logged & tracked for key milestones being hit on time & updating the team weekly.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders and ensure the system accurately reflects intake. Challenges delays and understands impact to availability.
- Plans future and current and allocations. Raises allocations after gaining sign off. Involves key stakeholders (Warehouse capacity ream, Store Operations and updating the Bulletin).
- Complete weekly stock reporting & identifying risk & actions to my merchandiser.
- Availability assist Merchandising team in planning department linecards, strong working relationship with suppliers.

- Proficient in excel, word and PowerPoint.
