The UK Business Risk Office is hiring
Managing risk is integral to our business and helps ensure sustainable growth and that our customers get great outcomes.
Our business risk office supports and drives a wide range of activity in the UK Business and is a diverse and welcoming team.
What do our Risk Managers do?
A wide range of things and we want you to experience all of them over your first couple of years.
We can't pursue our strategic objectives without sound risk management and in the Risk Office we will equip you with the tools and techniques you need to succeed to ensure you are set-up to build your future with us.
What you'll do:
The Risk Office drives and partners with the business on valuable initiatives and important programmes that help drive the UK Business forward and ensure we understand risk as we do so.
- Business Continuity : This team helps coordinate and facilitate our business continuity testing and recovery activity. You will also work with Business Continuity plan managers to ensure their plans are appropriate and relevant testing has completed
- Governance and Oversight : This team provides key insight and governance for all our Risk activity and ensures our leadership team and board are informed of risks and potential risks in the Business.
- Operations Risk Management : Operations is the heart of our business and how we interact most directly with our customers. Our Ops Risk Management team partners with the operation to help them manage their risks effectively and ensure we are getting to good customer outcomes
What we're looking for?
We hire individuals, not box tickers.
You don't have to be a qualified Risk Management professional or have tons of experience, you do have to have an appetite to drive change, understand our business and have an enthusiasm to learn.
An analytical mindset and the ability to break down complex problems and identify great solutions is critical. Other skills and competencies we are looking for include- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and influence at all levels
- Attention to detail and ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Strong organisation skills with a proactive approach to workload management
- Entry level knowledge of Business Continuity Management or Risk Management preferred
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position and can be based in our Nottingham offices.
Our hybrid working model offers you the flexibility to work from our offices and from home, when you need to.
We're big on collaboration and connection, and so generally encourage our associates to use our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The number of days you spend in the office will usually be led by the type of work you're doing, and the hybrid working patterns of the people you partner most closely with.
