Financial Analyst - 6 month FTC

In November 2021 we completed our first corporate transaction, being an investment partnership with leading mid-market private equity firm Bowmark Capital and we have recently expanded into the USA.


To support the growth and development of the business we are looking to recruit a Financial Analyst to support the Financial Planning and Analysis team in delivering first-class reporting and business partnering capability.

You will be joining the businessat an exciting stage in its journey, with the opportunity to stamp your mark on the team, processes, and systems as you develop the function.

Whilst this is advertised as a 6 month full time contract role, we would be happyto discuss flexible working arrangements for those balancing other commitments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Selfsufficient FP&A and process improvements:
  • Owning the monthly analysis and commentary on variances for internal and external reporting requirements
  • Owning the group consolidation process for the UK and US budgets
  • Owning and developing the existing monthly department reporting process
  • Working closely with the accounting and transactional teams, lead process improvements relating to recording of data required for analysis by departments and business units
  • Support the continued improvement and development of US reporting
  • Business planning:
  • Support the organisational operating models used for budgeting and forecasting and adding new functionality where needed
  • Developing a new intercompany department recharge model to enable accurate reporting of costs globally
  • Adhoc analysis to support the business in its decision making.

About You:


  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 25 years' postqualification experience in an FP&A, ideally in a medium sized organisation (c1000 employees) or in a private equity backed business
  • Knowledge of VBA, SQL, or Python are nicetohaves but not essential and can be learnt on the job.
