Description

We are excited to be advertising an innovative new Senior Clinical Fellow post in the Emergency Department for doctors at ST4 or above (or equivalent experience) based at Worthing Hospital.

Are you interested in medical education? Have you experience of working alongside colleagues from differing professional backgrounds such as ACPs, PAs, ENPs, ANPs and Extended scope Physiotherapists?

This novel Senior Clinical Fellow post has been designed to help our forward-thinking department map out the educational needs of our multi-professional workforce to allow us to maximise professional development opportunities in a structured, progressive and inclusive manner.

The post is available from August 2023, and will include a minimum of 30% time to spend on scoping and developing our multi-professional workforce and educational strategy.

You will be confident at working at ST4+ (or equivalent) level and clinical work will be on the Senior / Registrar rota, including being the senior decision maker at night, with consultant on-call support.

Non-clinical time (minimum of 30% of total hours) will be spent undertaking project work to take multi-professional education and workforce strategy to the next level.

Precise details of this work will be varied and developed in conjunction with the College Tutor and Clinical Lead.

Working across professions you will have well developed communication skills, the ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive way and a passion for developing the Emergency Medicine workforce of the future.

Rostering in the department is carried out using gold standard annualised principles with a high degree of flexibility, allowing those with personal commitments to maintain a satisfactory work life balance.

Please do contact those listed in the job description for an informal discussion about the role.
