Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 and 3)

Up to £27,500 per year (experience dependent)

Permanent, Full time 40 hours.

Childcare and Learning Ltd have five nursery and pre-school locations across London; looking for individuals to join us at Millie's House Nursery & Preschool sharing the aim to make each child's early education experiences positive and meaningful.

Purpose of the Role:
- To provide high standards of childcare and education, to include providing a safe, caring environment to enable the development of the whole child through individual attention and group activities.
- To work under the direction of the Nursery Manager and follow the guidelines laid down by Ofsted and the National Standards/EYFS.
- To promote the aims and objectives of the Nursery.
Desirable Experience and Qualification:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide high standards of quality of care and teaching within the nursery including the environment, resources and learning experiences.
- Observe, support and extend children's learning consistently allowing them to enhance upon their knowledge and understanding on a daily basis.
- Plan appropriately for children using the curriculum birth 3/35 years.
- Maintain accurate and effective children's records including their dietary requirements, 2year checks and their learning journals.
- To have an outstanding knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Including completing daily risk assessments within the classroom and in the garden.
- Demonstrate positive and proactive attitudes and behaviours throughout the nursery.
- Demonstrate good practice in regards to special educational needs and inclusion.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and liaise with parents to help ensure that the needs of their child/ children are met.
- Be a Key Person who carries out all related responsibilities of this role (see additional Key Person Documentation).
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, hygienic, tidy and well presented at all times.
- Ensure all company procedures are followed correctly e.g. recording of accidents and the collection of children.
- To attend monthly staff meetings and training sessions outside working hours.
- Attend all courses that you are required to as requested by your Manager.
