The Company

Blackwood Homes and Care is a well-established non-for-profit organisation whose aim is to provide exemplary care, support and housing who live with a disability.

They are based all over Scotland and are constantly striving to improve their services.

Therefore,they are looking to hire an individual who is able to bring fresh ideas to the table; and who is looking to make a direct impact to a great cause.

The Role
You will be involved with but not limited to the following duties:

Actively engaging with managers to monitor revenue and capital budgets
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Financial Planning and performance monitoring
Development of new business opportunities
Supporting the delivery of effective transformational projects
Preparation of draft budgets for Site Managers; as well as providing guidance and interpreting in layman's terms
Preparation of statutory and other financial returns
Preparation of Cashflow projections
Assisting in the preparation of draft yearend accounts

To be considered for the role you must:

Be a part qualified accountant through CIMA, ACCA or ICAS who are actively studying
Have a minimum of 5 years relevant finance experience
Have experience of preparing management accounts
Have experience in a business partnering type role
Have experience with accounting software packages
Have excellent communication and relationship building skills
Have good MS Office Excel literacy, including pivot tables, vlookups etc.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary of £35,239 - £38,095 plus an additional benefits package including hybrid and flexible working.

The office is based in Edinburgh and is easily accessible via public transport.
