Description

The post holder, who will be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist (BMS), will provide day to day management for the HODS laboratory on a rotational basis through the various diagnostic modalities to assist the Laboratory Manager and Clinical Scientist Leads in the timely provision of diagnostic (technical) services.

He/she will assist in the provision of a diagnostic service for more routine aspects of Haematology for the Trust, together with more specialist services, for example in the diagnosis of leukaemia/lymphoma, both for the Trust and as a Regional service (Haemato-Oncology Diagnostic Service).

The Regional service currently covers parts of the North West, Wales and the Isle of Man. Routine and more specialist work is also undertaken on behalf of patients from General Practices.
