Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Setter/Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This is a full-time position, starting on Temp-Perm basis for 3 months with opportunities for growth within our company. NLW/NMW is starting salary age dependent. We would also consider someone looking to train through an apprenticeship scheme for Level 1 Engineering Ops.

The role includes overall control of our machines, equipment, systems performance and engineering ops within the workshop and includes operational and support tasks:

  • Equipment and system problem solving
  • Equipment production readiness
  • Equipment effectiveness and capability
  • Engineering Ops

Responsibilities:


  • Equipment and system problem solving
/Equipment production readiness/Equipment effectiveness and capability

  • Programming, fault finding and producing production packs for automatic processing lines in PCB area
  • Processing tool and equipment problem solving, including communication with equipment manufacturer support desks
  • Equipment, tooling, jig and fixture control, maintenance and servicing
  • Calibration control
  • Setting control
  • Providing cover support to cable cutting to enable the freeflow of production through the cell
  • Working with Project Desk Technical Support to achieve effective and efficient equipment performance
  • Support cover as required by Support Team Leader
  • Engineering Operations
  • Cutting support
  • Testing support

Qualifications:

Knowledge of mechanical/engineering/electrical engineering preferred

Previous machine operator experience preferred

5 GCSE's including Maths and English preferred

Hours

Standard working hours = 38 hours per week

Nominal working hours 08.30 to 16.26 Monday to Friday, 20 minutes break each day 12.00 to 12.20


Salary:


NLW/NMW - Until fully competent, able to undertake all key tasks independently & IPC certified (Progress of skills discussed with Support Team Leader at interim reviews) Plus inclusion to bonus scheme only when permanent employee.

Fully trained salary £12.18ph which includes an Engineering Op's skill supplement of £0.30 per hour (plus bonus scheme)


Salary:

From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
