Description
We have partnered with a Retail Bank to support with the growth in their Quality Assurance team.

This role will be supporting the Senior Manager with the execution of the control testing plan to ensure that controls are appropriately designed and operated.


This role will be focused on managing a portfolio of assurance and oversight assignments focussed on control testing, ensuring that the team plans and delivers assurance and oversight that cover identified risk areas and that appropriate corrective actionsare agreed on with business owners.

Resolve issues arising from assurance and oversight and refer serious or contentious issues to the accountable owner.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a portfolio of assurance and oversight assignments on controls testing and identify risks and suggest corrective action
  • Resolve issues arising from assurance and oversight and refer serious or contentious issues to the accountable owner.
  • Ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks by using risk management systems to achieve specific goals within a designated area of the business.
  • Provide specialist advice on the design and build of controls to efficiently mitigate risk.
  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfil personalpotential.
  • Maintain an indepth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Requirements:


  • Experience working within Controls Testing in Financial Services
  • Strong Assurance and Oversight experience
  • Comfortable reviewing and advising corrective action to senior management and stakeholders
  • Strong regulatory knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a solutions focused role
