As an Area Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to guarantee the safe, compliant, and proficient delivery of soft facility services within a designated region as part of our prestigious contract.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager (ROM), you will oversee and supervise cleaning and facility staff within your area.


Your will be ensuring that all services provided meet regulatory standards and client requirements while also striving for operational excellence.


You will work closely with staff teams to cultivate a positive workplace experience for our customers, fostering a culture of exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.


Additionally, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating resources, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise within your area.


Your leadership and management skills will be essential in guiding and supporting your team to achieve their goals and objectives effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the contract management team in the delivery and ongoing development of our service solution systems, identifying service improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
  • Roster cleaning and facility staff to ensure that all sites are manned to contractual requirements and covering any sickness or planned absences
  • Ensure all documents such as Audits, COSHH, H&S and SOPs etc. are completed, kept up to date and reviewed at appropriate times
  • Ensure effective recruitment, training and development of frontline staff
  • Ensure all services are delivered in a commercially responsible way
  • Ensure all customer queries / complaints are correctly recorded through the customer complaints procedure
  • Ensure all relevant periodic reporting and required paperwork and administration is completed on time
  • Ensuring rigorous cost control within agreed plans, such as expenditure in materials, consumable, pay and agency labour usage
  • Maximise additional revenue opportunities such as extra cover and ad hoc work, as well as margin improvement opportunities through price reviews and additional services

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Supervision experience working in a facility or cleaning services environment
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to work under your own initiative, whilst following guidance from line management
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand the impact of their service outcomes towards the success of the contract delivery
  • Manages business performance to ensure successful outcomes
  • Identifies areas for improvement by reviewing service levels to meet customer and service contract expectation
