Location:
Hybrid, based in Brighton
Hours: 30 hours per week (of a standard 37.5 hour week) with scope to increase to 37.5
Contract:
Permanent
Annual leave: 28 days per annum pro rata
Accountability
- Responsible to: Operations Manager
- Accountable to: Board of Trustees, Staff and Volunteers, Funders, Stakeholders, Donors
Purpose of the job:
To support the smooth running of _Grassroots _training work: building relationships and liaising with a wide range of clients and stakeholders, coordinating and overseeing the administration of courses, and supporting the delivery of a range of training contracts and projects.
Principal Tasks
Training coordination:
- To act as a first point of contact in response to course enquiries/bookings and acting as a key liaison between training clients and the Grassroots team.
- To fully understand the Grassroots portfolio of training options and use effective communications skills to enable clients to find the most appropriate training options for their needs.
- To support the coordination of training sessions, including trainer allocation, booking venues, setting up online courses, and providing training equipment.
- To help with the preparation and followup of all course materials and administrative documents, supported by training volunteer/s.
- To manage the collection, collation and evaluation of participant feedback, supported by training volunteer/s.
- To maintain the Eventbrite online booking system, creating pages for courses, monitoring course capacity, and accessing data for evaluation purposes.
- To maintain a proactive approach to securing business, providing support for clients and individual learners.
- To maintain the stock of training materials provided by partners, and manage orders and deliveries as necessary, supported by training volunteer/s.
Contracts, Project Management, and Reporting:
- To support the delivery of longerterm training contracts, including promotion, delivery, and evaluation.
- To build relationships with commissioners and clients to enable the effective delivery of contracts and projects.
- To produce evaluation and update reports as required on training work for commissioners, clients, the staff team, and Board of Trustees.
General:
- To represent Grassroots at external events/online meetings as required.
- To act as an ambassador for Grassroots at all times.
- Grassroots is a developing charity, and the post holder should be aware that their Job Description may evolve to meet the future needs of the Charity._
