Full Time - 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Ilford, Essex
I have partnered with an Ilford based client who are currently recruiting for a Data Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the performance and assessment data, along with related data, using the Management Information System (SIMS).
- Be responsible for all aspects of external performance data (including the checking, submission, interpretation, and reporting) in liaison with the SLT member responsible.
- To be responsible for all aspects of internal performance data (including the recording, production and reporting of information as required). In liaison with a member of the SLT.
- Keep relevant staff fully briefed on important aspects of data and to champion this area
- To be responsible for the maintenance and management of all assessment data.
- Planning and setting up systems to collect, analyse and report attainment and progress data:
- Create mark sheets in SIMS and ensuring readiness for data drop times as indicated on the Assessment calendar.
- Prepare SIMS for the collection and analysis of external examination results.
- Prepare SISRA and ALPS for assessment data uploads
- Support departments with their assessment and data systems.
- Collate attainment and progress data at key times throughout the year
- Gather the performance data of different groups and cohorts within cohorts
- Extract data to other analysis software (SISRA/ALPS) when relevant.
- Produce individual student progress summaries for the purpose of reporting to parents at relevant points throughout the year.
- Production of results slips for individuals for Pre-Public Examination results days, including any previously attained qualifications.
- Collate all the data from summer external results
- Provide data for reports for staff as and when required
- Compile the data for regular and summative reports for other specific aspects of data e.g.
- Support the Data Manager and team in all areas of the service as required.
- Support with all queries
- Undertake other associated administrative tasks relevant to the post.
- Work in accordance with the organisations aims and policies and encourage individuals to high personal achievement.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS
- Significant experience in a similar role
- SIMS experience, particularly Assessment Manager
- Strong IT knowledge including all Microsoft packages
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Able to manage your own time including prioritisation of workload
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use own initiative
- Team player
