Utilities Officer

Success in Safety

To actively ensure the site (internally and externally) is tidy, clean, and presentable always, carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks in accordance with the site cleaning schedule in accordance with BRC standards.

What are you going to do?

- Complete and document post cleaning checks and verify that everything has been completed properly and paperwork is completed correctly.

Ensure all operating tools specific to utilities role are maintained and in good working order, to report issues if out of specification.
Report any accidents, incidents, near misses and hazards as per company procedure.
Report and arrange maintenance work with the engineering department.
Responsibility for the completion of glass and hardplastic audits and the corrective action required for compliance.
To undertake GMP inspection audits in line with the audit schedule.
Check the Pest Control services are being maintained and up to standard.
Support the Compliance Officer with Audits, Safety Audits, Sharepoint /Qpulse actions raised on system.
Make sure walkways are clear and the side edges of the factory are clean.
Check Chemicals cupboards and all Cossh items are clearly labelled.
High level cleaning is required to keep the factory clean.
Follow all Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and manual handling procedures.
Ensure working areas are kept clean, tidy and free from hazards.
Operate the industrial ride on or push along vacuum safely and courteously to ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment within the Operational and Warehousing areas.
Ensure plastic waste is disposed of appropriately and in a timely manner.
General tidying of all inside/outside perimeters.
Ensure all bins/skips are emptied to outside waste bin and are ready for weekly collections.

Our expectations

Essential Requirements:

Safety Awareness
Excellent attention to detail
Good clear communication skills
Intermediate computer literacy
Ability to work as part of a team whilst also using own initiative.
Counterbalance Forklift Truck license.

Desirable Requirements:

- High level cleaning experience.

Cherry Picker License.
