Main Purposes of the Post
To undertake landscaping and groundwork tasks at the properties of homeowners as directed by team leader on site


Duties of the Post

  • Undertake range of groundworks tasks on site as directed by Groundworker or Supervisor including drainage, kerbing, blocking, flagging, tarmacing, brickwork, mixing concrete, moving materials and equipment, cleaning up and making good sites each day
  • To undertake routine maintenance of tools and equipment, completing all relevant log sheets.
  • To ensure that security protocols are followed to ensure that tools and equipment are stored securely and safely at all times when not in use.
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with all statutory health and safety requirements, our Health and Safety Policy and that of our clients
  • To wear correct PPE for all tasks
  • To follow all risk and COSHH assessments and instructions provided in tool box talks
  • To organise materials and equipment, tidy and maintain site depot as required
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the Supervisor.

Education / Training

  • Essential _
  • Educated to 'O' Level / GCSE or equivalent
  • Full drivers license
  • Desirable_
  • Cat and Gennie
  • Abrasive wheel trained
  • Dumper trained
  • Roller trained
  • Current CSCS card

Experience / Knowledge

  • Essential_
  • Practical experience of working on site
  • Knowledge of site based health and safety systems
  • Experienced in using range of hand tools
  • Desirable_
  • Experienced at completing groundwork tasks including laying flags, mixing concrete and moving materials safely
  • Experience of working at residential properties
  • Experience of using range of machinery and equipment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£12.50-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
