Salary
£30,000 per annum

Bonus Scheme (performance based, clear and upfront, paid quarterly)


Hours
Rota-based 5 working days per week.

2 weekend working days per month.


Opening Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Sunday: 10:00am-4:00pm


Holidays
28 days per annum (including Bank Holidays)

You may be required to work Bank Holidays


Job Purpose


Sales Team Leader is responsible for implementing and managing the sales procedures of the company to ensure customers are created and retained.

In addition to the responsibilities of the Sales Advisor role, the management requirements of the team leaderare to train, support and manage the day-to-day activity of sales team members, ensuring effective use of the CRM software.

The team leader also welcomes new trade customers and maintains existing relationships with trade customers.

Key Duties

  • Train, lead, support and manage the sales process and sales team
  • Oversee the welcoming process of new customers
  • Meet with prospective and existing clients
  • Manage key customers
  • Build and maintain strong, longlasting client relationships
  • Identify and record opportunities for sales growth
  • Prevent decline in trade customer spend
  • Roll out sales and marketing initiatives in collaboration with the marketing manager
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Manage customer complaints that have been escalated
  • You will also be part of the daytoday activities that include:
  • Handle incoming communications with customers.
  • Provide product information and range guidance to customers
  • Check stock availability and/or lead times
  • Other duties may be assigned and/or the above amended from time to time

Requirements:


  • 12+ months of direct sales experience
  • Demonstrable background in developing relationships with customers
  • Team leader or team management experience required
  • No product or industry knowledge is required
  • Experience using CRM software is advantageous, full training in transaction capture and CRM software will be provided
  • Mathematical literacy and ability to explain technical concepts
