We are currently looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Band 7 Senior Systems Administrator to join Digital Services Infrastructure Team.

Extensive knowledge and experience of major IT infrastructure such as but not limited to server virtualization technologies, DNS DHCP SAN, SQL and backup technologies.

Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft server operating systems.

Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Exchange + Exchange Online

Knowledge and experience of administering security solutions to prevent cyber security incidents.

Knowledge and experience of Cloud Solutions (Azure)

Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365/O365

Knowledge and experience in fault diagnostics and mitigation planning

Strong communication and document writing skills

Flexibility to ensure the infrastructure has the high availability required

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent technical qualification & experience.
  • Has experience of the provision and operation of computer operations suites and associated equipment (Electrical power, UPS and air conditioning.)
  • Has knowledge and experience in maintaining Microsoft: Exchange, DC, DHCP, DNS, AD, SharePoint and cloud based technologies.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
Desirable criteria

  • Has experience of supporting IT in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of Cyber Security Operations and Management
  • Holds technical certifications(s) in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, O365, AWS)

  • Proven ability to plan system maintenance and downtime in advance to cause minimum disruption to service.
  • Has knowledge and experience in maintaining Microsoft: Exchange, DC, DHCP, DNS, AD, SharePoint and cloud based technologies.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
