What you'll do
Onsite Technical Specialist, within a customer-facing LAN Engineering team. Accountable within their customer and responsible for day-to-day operations of a secure network. In addition to operational activities some time will be spent working on customer project activities. Primarily based on a single customer site, occasional travel may be required to the customer's other locations.


Based on a customer site and part of a team of engineers providing onsite cover between the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis (5 days per week).


Collaborate with Assure, Project, Design, Build, teams to ensure all aspects of equipment installation, commissioning and testing are fully supported.


Keep site information and documentation up-to-date, including detailed recording on inventory systems (DCIM) where appropriate, in line with VBSE requirements.

Build and Maintain relationships with key customer sites and provide a professional interface to Customers, Suppliers and Vodafone colleagues

Interpret complex designs and own the requirement to survey/install managed services.


Who you are
Experienced of LAN networks in a secure customer environment and be flexible to adapt to wider service delivery requirements.

Telecommunications related industry recognised professional qualification such as CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent) or the ability to demonstrate equivalent hands-on knowledge.

In depth knowledge in LAN/IP/Data/Networking related field

Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods, setting own goals, priorities and responsibilities.

Excellent working knowledge of Cisco DNA Center and Cisco ACI.

Hands on knowledge of Cisco/Aruba/F5 configuration to install, commission and support the customer infrastructure.

Be able to maintain Customer confidentiality and ability to hold Developed Vetting (DV) level security clearance.
