Coded Welders Required in Birmingham 5 YEAR Contract position


Our client, a structural steelwork engineering company based in Birmingham, are looking for a Qualified/Coded Welder proficient in MMA, MAG and MIG acceptable for NDT inspection.


Responsibilities:


  • Weld steelwork components using manual or semiautomatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Inspect and diagnose problems and carry out the appropriate testing/repair.
  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment to ensure compliance with applicable codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
  • Identify and report weld defects that are visible and/or potential flaws prior, during, and post welding operations.
  • Immediately report/escalate problems/failures that could impact the project, company, contractors, and clients.
  • Responsible for own workload and ensure all targets are achieved to deadlines.

Salary:
£220.00-£230.00 per day

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:


  • Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
