POST:
Commercial Account Executive


Hybrid: 3 Home 2 Office days per week.


PURPOSE:

To work as part of our General Insurance Team in the acquisition of new business, and supported by a team of account handlers for mid
- term alterations and renewal retention on an existing and growing book of business.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Answer telephone enquiries.
  • Complete fact finds with potential new clients in order to provide a quotation.
  • Liaise with Insurers and product providers.
  • Provide quotations to clients.
  • Arrange cover for clients.
  • To be able to collect premiums from clients and understand processes for doing so.
  • Check proposal forms received from Clients before sending to Insurers.
  • Chase clients for outstanding documentation
  • Check policy documentation before sending to clients
  • Take details and process midterm alterations.
  • Prepare renewal documents and send to clients.
  • Answer queries received from clients and Insurers.
  • To be able to use a computer system to deal with and manage clients including a computer diary system.
  • Managing existing book of business
  • Developing and sustaining good relationships, including on a day to day basis, with Insurers and any other strategic partners.
  • Ensuring good order and a clear record/audit trail on all file records as appropriate to your involvement therein.
  • Visit prospective clients at their business or premises for face to face meetings.
  • Develop a strong network of referral sources for business acquistion.

RESPONSIBLE TO:
General Manager


HOURS:37 hours week:

Standard day: 9:00am to 5:30pm (5pm finish on Friday)


Experience:

Ideally minimum of 3-5 years insurance broking experience and previously dealt with commercial insurance products


Software:
Use of Applied Epic or Open GI is preferred but not essential.


Bonus:
Generous Uncapped Bonus Scheme


Salary:
Up to £45,000.00 per year
