**Finance Manager
Oxfordshire HQ with Hybrid Working
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE

The Finance Manager Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and supervision of finance team
- To take on the role as the company's Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration (COFA)
- Review and implementation of financial management and processes of the company
- Accounts cover and the ability to pick up daily banking functions when
- Oversight and responsibility of Credit control
- Preparation of month-end accounts, to include salary, prepayments, depreciation, accruals and other journal postings
- Maintaining journal day books
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Updating team performance results on a monthly basis
- Quarterly VAT return
- Calculating and monitoring lock-up
- Monitoring of residual balances
- Managing breach registers
- Updating and monitoring short and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Arranging payment of suppliers, to include PAYE
- Preparation and monitoring of annual budgets in collaboration with the leadership team and team leaders
- Preparing financial information for and presenting at monthly company meetings
- Managing bank mandates and company bank account and credit card access
- Ensuring client account is delivering the best interest rate possible and arranging access to new accounts where necessary
- Attendance at quarterly board meetings to present the company's financial performance
- Preparation of the annual accounts and SAR audit in collaboration with the company's accountants
- Ability to model and forecast various financial outcomes to support board decision making
- Production of annual WIP valuation
- Ensuring compliance of SRA Accounts Rules and Code of Conduct Regulations at all times.
Essential Skills:
- Legal industry experience and knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules
- AAT/ACCA/CIMA or other relevant financial qualification
- Knowledge of Credit Control and ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of Purchase Ledger, statement reconciliations and payment routines
- Excellent IT skills
- Problem-solver with can-do attitude
- A team player with desire to help colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
