An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on the Dorset Families Matter programme.

This is a multi-agency programme responsible for delivering central government's Supporting Families agenda in Dorset and is working closely with a range of internal and external partners, to mainstream activity and embed whole family working as an approach to supporting families with multiple needs.


What you can expect to be doing:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a multi-agency project.

We require a Programme Administrative Support Officer to work with us under the national Supporting Families' initiative, implemented locally through the Dorset Families Matter central programme team based within People - Children's Directorate at County Hall, currently Hybrid working from home and County Hall.

The programme is funded via The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).


The context of the work involves considerable liaison with colleagues from across the Children's Locality teams but also a broad range of partners including but not limited to schools, housing, health and the Police.


The team also manage a range of contractual arrangements for the commissioning of services that contribute to the delivery of the programme and pay invoices accordingly.


About you:

Qualifications/ training/registrations
Required by law, and/or essential to the performance of the role

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent ability.
  • Good standard of keyboard, numeracy and written literacy skills
  • NVQ 3/BTEC National Certificate or equivalent in Administration/Business studies or evidence of equivalent skill level.
Experience

  • Significant experience in an administrative role, using computerised systems.
  • Experience of producing documents to a high quality standard.
  • Experience of financial administration/budget management as relevant to the role.
  • Experience of customer care.
  • Experience of supporting projects.

This post is externally funded and on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2025, but with a possible extension if the programme is funded for a new phase.

This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.
