This post is designed to help maintain a high standard of patient centered care by being an integral part of the unit.

The unit Housekeeper will ensure the delivery of high standard non-clinical services to patients. This will include catering, environment, minor maintenance, portering and cleaning of equipment.

Key working relationships with all members of the multi-professional team, including nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated housekeeper to become part of the Research Team at the National Institute for Health Research UCLH Clinical Research Facility (CRF).

The NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility UCLH is a well-established Clinical Research Facility (CRF) covering three sites.

The Leonard Wolfson Experimental Neurology Centre is a dedicated neuroscience experimental medicine facility at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) at Queen Square (QS); the NIHR UCLH Clinical Research Facility is a comprehensive Cancer and Medical research facility on the Bloomsbury Campus (BC) at 170 Tottenham Court Road.

We are looking for an individual who will welcome visitors and orientate them to the ward/department; advise on local routines and available amenities; communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their family/visitors/carers and providing effective customer care; respond appropriately to requests for general information, take phone messages and pass on written and verbal information as required; maintain patient confidentiality; maintain professional boundaries and working relationships with patients and colleagues and respect the privacy and dignity of patients and their family/visitors/carers while carrying out housekeeping duties
