  • 1 permanent fulltime role.
  • West Yorkshire Police, the lead Force for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS), is looking to recruit a Forensic Assessment Officer to be based at Calder Park, Wakefield.
  • The main purpose of the role is to carry out an evaluation and authorisation service for forensic requests submitted by Police Officers within Yorkshire and Humberside. Ensuring the most effective use of the forensic budget, as well as compliance with all regulatory, quality, and legislative requirements, the role is responsible for taking into consideration evidential value, forensic viability, and limitations and sequential examination processes.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as good working knowledge of computerised databases is essential as is a flexible approach to working hours.
The post is suitable for job share.
