An exciting opportunity has arisen for a superstar Kitchen Porter based at one of our Conference Centres in Central Oxford, OX1.

A Grade II* listed venue that will offer some of the best-connected event's spaces in the Country, with newly created conference spaces and accommodation set amongst beautiful gardens in the heart of Oxford, ready to host physical and virtual events that reach around the world.

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter who takes pride in their work and thrives in a busy working environment.

The venue has recently undergone a masterpiece renovation bringing it in to the 21st century, with the perfect balance of old meets new perfect for every event.

A kitchen porter who will work hard to keep the back of house areas clean and well organised, and play their part in keeping things safe and compliant.

There will be opportunity to assist the chefs with stock management and to get involved in food and beverage preparation as time allows.

As part of a team you will support the Exec Chef taking the business to market at a very exciting time.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to learn tasks quickly and bring ideas to the team
Support the daily operation of the kitchen and be responsible for washing up and keeping designated areas clean and tidy.
Experience of using a commercial dishwasher and manual methods
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and ability to complete daily temperature records
Ability to perform manual tasks safely, quickly and to an high standard
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely
Be able to work in a highpressure environment
Be a responsible, dedicated team player with the ability to assist colleagues in order to deliver on our objectives
Knowledge of COSHH and working safely with chemicals

Pension Plan

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. Predominantly Monday to Friday, however there will be some events at weekends.

Please note, there is no parking on site, however due to the city centre location there are excellent bus, cycle and rail routes plus park and ride facilities.
