The One Group are pleased to be working with an electric and hybrid engineering and testing services company who are based in Silverstone seeking a Battery Modelling Engineer to work on a range of Battery Management System projects.
My client provides work class technical innovation, engineering and testing services to their customers across the Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace and Marine sectors and are growing at a fast rate.
You will have the opportunity to develop cell, module and pack level models to generate offline predictions to support the systems department with proposals and design decisions as well online models for the use on the Battery Management System to improve theperformance of the battery pack.
The day-to-day duties include:
Battery Modelling:
- Perform cell modelling, predict the battery performance for pack design
- Perform electrical and thermal modelling using FEA
Module and pack modelling:
- Scale up cell models from a lumped model into module or pack model
Battery testing:
- Support battery test planning for the validation of models
What we are looking for:
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experienced using modelbased development such as Matlab and Simulink as well as knowledge in cell electrical and thermal modelling techniques
- Exposure to coding languages (C, C++ and Python)
- An understanding of Power BI & database management
