Finance Assistant

Job title:

Location:
Portsmouth


Role:
Part time permanent, 2 days minimum


Salary:
Up to 33k pending on skills and experience (this will be pro rata'd to the hours / days worked)


What you'll be doing:


  • Collecting data (such as actual costs, commitments, order book) from various business systems and consolidating this to create financial reports for Project accountants and other stakeholders.
  • Communicating with various stakeholders to collect required information by set deadlines
  • Ensuring processes are correctly adhered to, providing guidance to stakeholders and escalating issues when they cannot be addressed appropriately
  • Supporting closure of legacy projects in SAP, working closely with other functions to clear balances
  • Data entry into SAP, such as completing journals

Your skills and experiences:


  • Strong Excel skills, summarising data sets with usage of Vlookup and Pivot Tables
  • Good administration, time management and organisational skills
  • Sending reports to Stakeholders with strong, clear communication
  • Be able to help people understand and interpret reports.
  • Excellent general IT skills
  • Experience with SAP desirable

The Financial Services team:

This part time role sits within the financial services team within the BAE Systems Finance Department.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to join a busy dynamic Company and grow your administration and financial knowledge within a helpful and hardworking team.

The role itself is part time, the Financial Services manager is flexible with how many days you are to work.

Please note that 2 days will be the minimum.
