The postholder will:


  • Be expected to work independently on FOI casework allocated to them;
  • Deliver to deadlines, while managing multiple cases at once;
  • Be highly competent in written communication, as they will be required to draft responses to FOI requests on behalf of NHS England;
  • Be flexible and able to work closely with colleagues to resolve casework;
  • Have a good knowledge of the FOI Act;
  • Be a good networker and able to achieve results through collaboration with colleagues.

The seven integrated regions of our joint enterprise will work with local systems to support and improve how care is provided to patients and communities.

These regions will be supported by the corporate centre providing expertise and developing policy.

The focus will be on guiding and managing the delivery of services through local integrated health systems, sustainability and transformation partnerships, and devolution areas.


As aCaseOfficer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Parliamentary Business and FOI team to help the team deliver its objectives on Parliamentary and FOI casework.

The postholder will report to the Freedom of Information Advisor. They will not have any line management responsibility currently. The post is Leeds, London or regionally-based; occasional travel will be expected when allowed.
