Roles and Responsibilities
Fernhill School is a leading independent school in Rutherglen and we are currently seeking an individual to join our team of Play Ground Assistants.
The playground assistant is a key role in the safety and wellbeing of our pupils during break time and lunch time.
It is the responsibility of the playground supervisor to monitor and report poor behaviour, breaches of discipline and any playground accidents or incidents.
You will oversee and contribute to the overall care, safety, welfare and supervision of children in the playground, dining and other areas.
Main Duties:
- To work with a team of playground assistants.
- To liaise with the senior leadership team and class teachers.
- To be responsible for the children's health and safety during morning and lunchtime play sessions.
- To promote good behaviour and good manners to the children
- To assist children at lunch times with their lunch,
- All trained first aiders have a responsibility to administer first aid and complete relevant paperwork, returning to the Head Teacher's PA on the day of the incident.
- To pass on any concerns in regard to pupils to Head Teacher or Depute Head Teacher
- To comply with any reasonable request from line manager
- To promote the values and ethos of Fernhill School in your words and actions
