We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our People Team on a 12-month FTC basis.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, ideally based at our Guide Dogs National Centre near Leamington or alternatively at our Reading Hub in Burghfield.
There's flexibility to work in a way that is best for you, with at least 2 days working from the office and occasionally at other locations as required including monthly team meetings held at our Reading Hub.
The ideal individual will have proven employee relations experience including managing a diverse and complex caseload of ER activity as well as volume end to end formal and informal case and change management.

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll get the opportunity to:
- Build and maintain influential, collaborative, and trusted relationships internally with management and teams to enable them to achieve organisational objectives through their people. Proactively identifying potential issues to prevent escalation and provide advice, interventions, guidance and coaching to employees and managers.
- Take ownership for all ER activity within our Skills, Information and Support Services, working with managers to support the resolution of employee relations cases to troubleshoot and minimise the potential outcome risks for the organisation.
- Drive and support the maintenance of effective employee relations and change frameworks so that employee communication, experience and engagement are properly considered and supported.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Proven employee relations and change experience, entailing resolution of complex issues up to and including dismissal and employment tribunals.
- Proven ability to build highly effective and collaborative working relationships with line managers, employees and peers.
- Proven ability to coach managers & the wider HR team in order to develop their capability and reach positive outcomes.
