Summary _

PROACT Medical Ltd is a fast-growing medical device company of around 50 staff and an accredited Living Wage Employer.


The Quality Assurance Assistant will be responsible for supporting quality control and assurance efforts within the company on a full-time temporary basis, covering a maternity leave period of 9 months.

This role involves assisting in the monitoring and maintenance of product quality and adherence to established standards.

Main Responsibilities _

  • Assess returned stock to determine course of action to resolve the reason for return.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure the satisfactory resolution of returned goods. Issue credit notes and replacement stock as appropriate.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve returned items and ensure suitable replacement or remuneration.
  • Assist in operating the company's device vigilance procedure.
  • Administer and perform inhouse calibration/validation of patient simulators and pulse oximeters.
  • Assist in Inspection Room producing works orders and carrying out inspection as required.
  • Make adjustments on accounting system to properly reflect raw material usage and add finished goods into stock.
  • Manage stock of X1 (single item) stock codes.
  • Coordinate and assist with routine and special inspection of stock items, including rework of noncompliant stock as necessary.
  • Review complaints log and ensure that all customer complaints have been investigated properly.
  • Assist the team in overseeing the management of the quarantine area.
  • Provide cover and support to the rest of the Quality Department as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience _

  • Good written, verbal communication and numerical skills.
  • Good computer skills a good working understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
  • Administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience working in Quality Department is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
