Cloud Security Architect sought by a leading Google Cloud Premier Partner for a hybrid based permanent position.
You will work within a team building highly secure, resilient, scalable, and performant GCP solutions for a variety of clients spanning multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design secure and scalable solutions based on client's business and technical requirements;
- Understand client requirements and advise on the best use of securityrelated GCP services, procedures and cloud security best practices;
- Be able to identify and remediate security weak points in current solutions at the design phase as well as after implementation;
- Able to act as an intermediary between the client's business teams, engineers and security stakeholders;
- Integrating security nonfunctional requirements at the design phase of a solution or to integrate them as part of a security improvement plan;
- Responsible for Security architecture principles and frameworks, including ISF Standard of Good Practice (SOGP), Cloud Security Alliance, or NIST
- Working in a team and mentoring others in all aspects related to security;
- Supporting development of their cloud security offering, including security governance strategy, security posture assessments, data protection, cloudbased identity and access management;
- Stay abreast of the latest GCP security capabilities, technologies and threat landscape;
- Serve as an internal security consultant and mentor regarding security events and concepts by monitoring information security technologies and trends, providing expert guidance, and assisting with knowledge development/mentoring activities.
Experience
- Experience in working with a range of GCP services and technology;
- Extensive experience with advanced information IT and security systems, including TCP/IP networking, scripting, and incident handling;
- Strong experience of designing and implementing cyber security solutions in a large enterprise;
- Expertise with integrating and deploying IAM solutions for both cloud and onprem scenarios;
- Authoritative understanding of security threats, qualitative and quantitative risk valuation models, and effective tools, tactics, and techniques for risk reduction;
- Working knowledge of SOAR concepts and toolsets, including how to architect, automate, and integrate cloud systems with logging, event correlation, and incident response platforms
- Working knowledge of encryption technologies and standards, both atrest and intransit
- Understanding of security and compliance, e.g. cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools;
- Understanding of DevOps principles and InfrastructureasaCode concepts and techniques;
- Set and achieved challenging short, medium, and long term goals that exceeded the standards in their field;
- Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with various teams and decision makers;
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
