Location:

Salary:
£35k to £45k DOE

(Construction design Management)
Our client is an independent engineering and surveying consultancy. They have been in business for over 37 years with multiple offices in the UK.

They offer civil and structural engineering expertise, ground investigation, health and safety services andbuilding surveying as well as other specialised services and consulting support.

They provide innovative, effective and timely solutions on construction industry projects of an ever increasing scale and complexity nationwide. They have established a broad client base with projects ranging from small residential properties through tovast commercial developments.

They are looking for an
Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join their expanding team in their Leicester office.

Key duties will include:

Providing advice and helping the client fulfil their CDM duties
Preparing and submitting F10s
Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards
Identification and collation of preconstruction information
Liaison with the construction team to ensure that there is an ongoing exchange of health and safety information
Preparation of health and safety files
Assessment and preparation of construction phase health and safety plans
Site health and safety inspections
Preparation of method statements and risk assessments
Assisting with asbestos surveys

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Ideally you will be degree qualified with relevant experience within the construction industry.
Design risk management skills and PD/CDM professional qualifications are essential.
NEBOSH General Certificate and/or Construction Certificate are desirable along with excellent communication skills and a determination to succeed.
A full driving licence and own transport is essential as some travel will be required.
