Description

Would you like to work in one of two newly refurbished University buildings? Do you have experience in and enjoy helping others, in particular young people? Our Facilities Assistants are vital in keeping students, staff, visitors and our buildings safe, sanitary and operational.

They are friendly and diligent and work hard to contribute to the success of the University, no matter what the day brings.

As part of a close knit and loyal team, you will be involved in all aspects of managing building facilities including patrolling, engaging one-to-one with students and visitors, responding to alarms and incidents, waste and recycling, cleaning response and a whole lot more.


These are permanent positions and you will work alternating early and late shifts, routinely covering the hours of Monday to Friday.

You will be paid for full-time hours (37 hours per week) however the standard working week will be 32.50 hours with the remaining 4.50 hours banked in order to provide absence cover for colleagues.

There is requirement for you to be available and happy to work longer shifts on occasion hours) to provide this cover. There could also be an occasional requirement for evening/weekend working to support events such as Open Days.

A 12.5% shift allowance is paid in addition to the annual salary for this post, please note the salary quoted is inclusive of this allowance.
