The main purpose of this role is to manage a varied portfolio of Professional Indemnity claims, including claims from various jurisdictions, written out of Lloyd's platforms, and working within Chubb's UK and Ireland Financial Lines Claims team.


You will be expected to produce high quality work product and will handle the files from cradle to grave on a proactive basis for claims of differing complexity through immediate contact and the effective investigation, control of strategy and adjustment of claims in line with our best practices.


You will work closely with other members of the team and contribute to building team success, providing mentorship to more junior team members.

As a senior adjuster you will need to be a positive role model, motivating those around them and fostering an environment of support and excellence in both team-working and individual and team development.

Support in the role will be provided by a Team Manager and a Technical Manager, depending upon the type and level of support required.


Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently handle and settle claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This will involve working with policyholders, brokers, solicitors, loss adjusters, other professionals, insurers and third parties.

Self-management of own caseload to ensure timely settlement of files, accuracy and timeliness of reserving and control of vendor expenses.

Work within our best practice framework and our Claims Proposition to be the most trusted, solutions focused insurer with a particular focus on service delivery across the team for all internal/external client groups and stakeholders.

To fulfil all compliance and regulatory requirements.
Act as part of a team to ensure both team and individual goals are met and to work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained
Represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, key clients and market representatives
Build and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing a high-class customer service.
Provide general assistance and support to other team members, managers and underwriters, including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise


Qualifications:


Skills & Experience Required:


Experience in Financial Lines Claims and in Professional Indemnity claims specifically is preferred, as you will be required to hit the ground running and to be able to support more junior members of the team.

5 years+ Professional Indemnity claims experience preferred or legal background.
Sound understanding of the insurance/reinsurance market and insurance coverage issues.
Successfully completed (or presently undertaking or required to undertake) study for ACII or country equivalent or legal qualifications.
Continues to develop technical and broader business skills.
