Description
We are hiring for a Smart Factory OT Automation Engineer (M/F/d) to join a cell manufacturing facility. with mid to senior level experience in Factory Automation (OT - Operational Technology).

Ideally this person should have knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts,and can bring ideas in the field of realising a Smart Factory.


The Role:
You will design and supervise the automation of work processes of our high-tech machines and systems
and thus contribute to the improvement and further development of our automated processes. In this
environment, you will take on the following tasks, among others:

  • Design and implementation of Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory automation concepts and functions for
high-tech production lines together with process engineering and other production functions.

  • Planning, implementation, and coordination of automation projects with external partners from
the project phase to order processing and commissioning

  • Participation in continuous optimization programs to increase productivity
  • Fault diagnosis, elimination of malfunctions and the coordination of individual subsystems to form
a functioning overall system

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of data acquisition models in accordance with the
data requirements of internal stakeholders, e.g., process engineering, quality assurance, etc.

  • Maintain business relationships with production machinery suppliers, equipment suppliers and
partners


Requirements:


  • Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering/automation technology, successfully
completed training or further training as a state-certified technician in the field of electrical
engineering or a comparable qualification.

  • Considerable practical experience and knowhow in the automation of machines and production
lines, ideally good knowledge of M2M communication and interfaces using OPC UA

  • Ability to contribute to Smart Factory / Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Good knowledge of current control technologies and architectures, ideally SIEMENS and Beckhoff
controllers

  • Ability to understand PLC control code
  • Experience of working with crossfunctional engineering teams
  • Teamwork and good communication skills
  • Good German as well as good English skills
