This is a Temporary to Permanent Position


The Facilities and Projects Manager will Manage the day to day campus operations overseeing multitude of campus projects consisting of class room moves, space planning and utilisation, equipment moves, minor refurbishments and installations, along with otherad hoc responsibilities.


Client Details


Our client are an established higher education provider within a prestigious university group in the West End (Central London) where you will have the option to work from home 2 days per week.

You will be sat within their Real Estate and Property team andreporting to the Project Manager and wider directorate of the department.


Description

Facilities and Projects Manager:


  • Undertake and manage minor projects including moves and refurbishments.
  • Use CAD to create drawings for the layout of classrooms and small/medium spaces.
  • Organise regular project reports such as the monthly project database/projects tracker.
  • Specify and obtain competitive quotations for project work to be carried out by external contractors, submit for approval and subsequently manage small projects through to completion, ensuring effective monitoring and control.
  • Assist the Campus Projects teams with the design, management, commissioning and snagging of projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a master programme of projects/projects tracker and other relevant work.
  • Work with the campus projects team undertaking research as and when needed.
  • Maintain electronic files and the project management intranet up to date.

Profile

The successful Facilities and Projects Manager will need:


  • Experience in a similar facilities position

Experience with CAD and competency in designing simple small to medium spaces.

  • Health and Safety qualifications e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH etc
  • Understanding of building compliance

Job Offer
This is a Temporary to Permanent position paying up to £44,000 with generous annual leave, pension and benefits.
