Payroll & Pensions Manager | Greater Manchester | £40,000 - £48,000 | Hybrid Working

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation in Greater Manchester in order to recruit a Payroll and Pensions Manager on a permanent basis.

This role offers a range of permanent benefits alongside flexible workingpatterns and up to 80% home working.

Role:

Duties will include:
Payroll

To manage the relationship with the outsourced payroll serviceprovider
To oversee the payroll team in processing payroll and pensions
Liaise with the HR Team on updates to pay increments and pay awards
Undertake internal checks as required to ensure all processes and procedures and being followed
Reviewing current processes and develop internal control across the trust
To provide support with the onboarding of new clients with payroll and pension functions
Completing monthly and annual statutory returns

Pensions

Provide guidance and support in the calculation of all pension related issues within the business
To project manage the implementation of Automatic Enrolment and reenrolment, sourcing of an additional pension scheme and the ongoing running of the scheme ensuring accurate management and statutory compliance
Provision of information concerning the pension arrangements operated by the Trust
Provision of specific training to staff as appropriate

Person:

The successful Payroll and Pensions Manager:

Experience within a senior payroll position
Up to date knowledge of payroll and pensions
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail with ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing a varied workload
Degree level or equivalent
