We're a recently established global battery enterprise and a subsidiary of the Tata Group which owns Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Tata Motors.

We'll be pioneering the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK.


Job Purpose - This is an exciting opportunity in our rapidly growing Research and Development (R&D) team for a Project Coordinator. You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects and programmes designed to deliver strategic company objectives, developing the current and future product offering of Agratas. The assigned projects must be managed, critically evaluated and reviewed in a continuous improvement process and shaped in close collaboration with the Programme Management Lead and R&D senior leadership team to ensure the team is consistently delivering against its objectives and budget.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the successful delivery of our R&D project portfolio to ensure achievement of core company and functional objectives.
  • Responsible for the quality of reporting and communication for assigned projects to programme leads and the R&D leadership team.
  • You will motivate, guide and hold to account the R&D 'project delivery' teams.
  • You will compile and submit status reports to key stakeholders and management.
  • Must be able to ensure and drive continuous improvement throughout the projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the PM team capability including supporting the implementation of appropriate PPM software and developing and improving project and programme monitoring via KPIs.
  • Have an interest in the outcomes of R&D activities and supporting the implementation of the IP strategy.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • A degree in either a science or engineering discipline, a professional project management certification is highly desired.
  • Strong project management experience, ideally in an R&D environment or new product development environment for electrical, electronic, or chemical products.
  • Experience of delivering projects in a technical project environment (both academic and industrial) and interfacing with R&D teams.
  • Good understanding of managing innovative projects from low TRL up to new project introduction.
  • Proven experience of supporting the management and delivery of complex programmes in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
  • Experience of product development (e.g. exposure to APQP).
  • A broad understanding and experience of Project Management fundamentals applied throughout the full project lifecycle.
