INCOME RECOVERY ASSISTANT

(SALARY £25,182 - £27,960)


Milnbank Housing Association is a tenant led Community Based Housing Association operating in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow, owning and managing over 3,000 units.

The Association is looking to recruit an Income Recovery Assistant, to join the Housing Services team.

The post holder will be responsible for maximising income recovery for the Association, in accordance with the relevant Policies and Procedures, and the main duties are noted below:

  • Assist in the control of rent arrears.
  • Maintain Housing Benefit / Universal Credit records.
  • Provide support to Housing Officers in the management of rent accounts and escalate cases, following the correct legal procedures.
  • Administer and monitor rent account balances and rent arrears, daily, to maximise income and follow the recovery process through to completion.

Ideally, the Post holder will have the following:

  • Experience in the role of a debt collector/recovering income.
  • Experience raising court action and liaising with legal representatives for arrears recovery.
  • A minimum of four National 5 qualifications or relevant equivalent.
  • Competent IT Skills (working knowledge of office 365 and Microsoft packages such as word and excel).
  • Knowledge of debt recovery legislation, processes, and procedures.
  • Have a customer centred approach with the ability to problem solve and communicate effectively to a diverse customer base.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team.

Salary:
£25,182.00-£27,960.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
