General Maintenance Person - Skegness, United Kingdom - Phoenix Care Centre

Job Summary:
To ensure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check the maintenance book daily and carry out any repairs as required or contact engineers
- Ensure weekly and monthly maintenance audits are up to date and accurate to comply with legal requirements
- Ensure the weekly fire checks are completed which includes the fire system, fire extinguishers and fire doors and record all findings, Ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken
- Undertake PAT Testing of electrical equipment (training can be provided)
- To familiarise themselves with the Biomass heating system to ensure this is working correctly.
- Undertake general decoration work of main areas and bedrooms as requested by the management.
- To work alongside the management team to ensure the homes maintenance plan is on schedule. (this will include the renovation of ensuite bathrooms etc)
- effectively managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
- to be on call at weekends for emergencies.
- To adhere to all health and safety aspects of the job role.

- A DBS is needed for this role._
