As a Clinical Pharmaceutics Quality Practitioner your main duties will include coordinating a team of staff ensuring that the requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in the manufacture of medicines are satisfied.


You will be expected to support the Head of Pharmacy Quality Assurance in ensuring that the regulatory requirements and standards set by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) are met for the Manufacturing Specials and Wholesale dealing licences held by the Trust.

If qualified, you will also be a Releasing Officer for Specials made under the licence, including named-patient items.

You can be a registered Pharmacist, a registered Pharmacy Technician or a science graduate. Previous GMP experience is essential.

Based in Pharmacy Technical Services provide clinical pharmaceutics and medicines optimisation services to Trust patients and staff.


Provide input to Pharmacy Technical and Clinical Services, including quality assurance (QA), manufacturing, chemotherapy, clinical trials, research and innovation (R&I), logistics, and patient-facing services.


Support will also be provided to ensure any additional training deemed necessary is achieved such as the Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance course.
