Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic
Trainee Sales Estimator to join our busy and expanding team based in Darwen, Lancs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our experienced sales and production teams to understand client requirements and provide accurate estimates.
  • Analyse technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
  • Engage with suppliers and partners to source pricing and quotations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to finalize and negotiate client proposals.
  • Maintain and update the company's pricing database and provide feedback on market trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and pitch materials.
  • Continuous learning and adaptation to understand the evolving market demands and product innovations.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Access & Excel.
  • A proactive approach to work with a desire to learn and grow.

Working Location/Environment
Darwen, Lancashire


Working Hours
Monday

  • Thursday 8am 5pm & Alternating finish on Friday of 5pm & 2pm
